Steven A. Skarda, CPA/Managing Member

  • University of Florida (BSBA-Accounting-1969) plus graduate work in accounting and taxes
  • Over 42 years experience, including 35 in Public Accounting with national and local firms and seven years as CFO/Controller for a small independent oil and gas exploration and production company
  • Tax preparation and planning for corporate, partnership, trust, and individual income tax matters
  • Estate tax preparation, planning and administration
  • Expertise concentrated in oil and gas and real estate industries and closely held family businesses
  • Serves as de facto CFO for numerous clients
  • Member and past officer of local professional CPA chapter and Estate Planning Council

Teresa W. Meyer, CPA/Member

  • Received Bachelor and Masters degrees from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
  • Licensed to practice in Louisiana and North Carolina
  • Over 20 years experience in national and local public accounting, primarily in taxation
  • Areas of concentration include partnership, small business and individual income tax as well as gift tax compliance
  • Particular industries include oil and gas and real estate, including administration for investor/entity investment activity

Stacey Diaz, Accountant/Office Manager/Member

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from University of New Orleans
  • Over 15 years experience in public accounting, additional years as controller for closely held businesses
  • Experienced in payroll, payroll taxes, sales taxes and human resource matters
  • Over 10 years as a Quickbooks Pro Advisor
  • Supervises all firm Accounting, Sales and Payroll tax preparation
  • Prepares business and individual income tax returns
  • Serves as office manager for all firm personnel and administrative matters

Barbara J. Gowan, CPA

  • Bachelor degree from University of New Orleans
  • Over 20 years of experience in Public Accounting with regional and local firms
  • Tax preparation and planning including multi-state, corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns
  • Accounting and attest services provided for various industries including construction companies, manufacturers, and non-profit organizations
  • Tax and accounting clients include multi-tiered ownership, consolidations/combinations, and special purpose issues
  • Resolution of IRS and State tax issues and audits
  • Litigation support for fraud investigations, sales tax issues, bankruptcy, and other issues
  • Serves as de facto "controller" for several clients, drafting analysis and financial statements plus coordinating outside financial statement audits and reviews

Kellie Carriere Roe, CPA

  • Received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from University of New Orleans
  • Member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Louisiana Society of Certified Public Accountants, Licensed by Louisiana State Board of Accountants
  • Over 27 years of experience including 25 in Public Accounting with regional and local firms
  • Areas of concentration include S-Corporation, Partnership, Sole Proprietors, Individual, and Not For Profit Entity filings and compliance
  • Extensive experience in taxing authority problem resolution
